New 5 Star Spa Hotel in Altinkum
New Spa Hotel starts building in Altinkum third beach area. The hotel’s ground floor area will also feature spa facilities, a 200 capacity of cinema, a restaurant, bar, exclusive boutique shops, a fitness suite, Play station rooms and a children’s play area. Also it will be a fast food facility as well. The hotel is being built on 2,300 square metres of land close to Third Beach and total of capacity for 400 people, with 65 double bedrooms and 55 standard bedrooms.
Building work began last November and it is hoped to be opened before the start of the 2008 summer.
Turkey’s government announced plans to become a spa tourism destination, with plans to become the world leader by 2023.

Didim Marina is launched with big ceremony at 22 February 2007with Transport Minister Binali Yildirim.
With budget of $50 million, Altinkum Marina will bring all year around truism for the area. Altinkum Marina has been located around the third beach area and would become the biggest marina of the Aegean and the Mediterranean seas.
Project is taken over by Dogus Group and will be complete by summer 2009. Marina’s usage area will be total of 287000 m2. Marina will have yacht club, helicopter port, a capacity of 623 berthed yachts and 600 yachts in dry dock, a yacht lift for 100 to 300 tonnes and swimming pool.

Also in the facility area included with shopping centre, supermarkets, fitness centre and sport facilities, banks, petrol station, restaurants and information centre. Marina will also have a custom office for international entries. Some of the cruises and boat trips will start giving the services to there clients. With all these facilities marina will bring the new businesses to the area.

New custom office builds in the Altinkum Harbour. With the new surrounding old harbour will replaced with big garden and green areas include play ground and walk paths. Local council announced that new custom office will be open to Greek islands after the May 2007. After that date local people will be able to travel cross to Greek Islands. Custom office will also have Duty Free shops.

Big news for pork lovers
New shop will be open in March opposite to The Rising Sun Pub on Ege Street to sell pork products. Shop will be owned by British and Turkish partnership. All the products will be import from Denmark, Holland and UK. All products will deliver frozen and vacuumed sealed to meet the strict of EU food hygiene regulations.
The firm also has plans to open shops in Alanya and Marmaris.
